Planet Killer One

Graphic Design - Digital Art
Fall 2023
Project Overview
Early on at Algonquin College, I was given the opportunity to create a classic thriller-style movie poster using Adobe software that I had gotten used to over the course of the semester. For this project I elected to create a sci-fi thriller project titled Planet Killer One about a deadly conspiracy headed by mysterious shadowy forces.
My Contributions
Largely a solo project, I captured all the images of people within the poster with the help of Anthony Trahan, who so graciously offered to play the role of the "hero" featured within the poster. After touching up those photos in Adobe Lightroom, I imported them and other royalty-free imagery I could find into Photoshop to work on and produce the final poster. I explored many different effects within this poster, including image burning, the many uses of the Text and 3D Text tools, as well as the generative Fire and Smoke tools within the program.

Software/Hardware used

Adobe Photoshop
Nov 2023 - Dec 2023
The poster was almost entirely created using Adobe Photoshop with the many tools, filters, and features available at the time. This piece was many to explore and practice with the more creative aspects of Photoshop, which was a rather fun and fulfilling experience.
Adobe Lightroom
Nov 2023
Images of the subjects were imported and cleaned up in Adobe Lightroom Classic before being exported from RAW into more easily workable images in Photoshop.
Canon T7i (Photo)
 Nov 2023
Using my camera's photo settings in addition to other portable equipment, I set up and made several different shots of both myself and Anthony Trahan as part of this project.
